With over 20 years of experience in machining, fitment, stack tolerances of parts and assemblies. American CNC Machining (ACNCM) is a Veteran Owned Small Business that specializes in comprehensive machining of metal and metal alloys. Using state of the art computer aided design (CAD) software; virtually any part can be designed and machined with ACNCMs 3-Axis vertical milling machine. Whether rapid delivery, or high volume production is required, ACNCM can provide the service needed.
Computer Aided Machine
Using the ACNCMs Fadal 4020 3-Axis Vertical Milling Machine, parts up to 38″ x 18″ x 16″ can be produced in small or large quantities with exact repeatability. It has a wide power range for metal cutting flexibility and a flame hardened cast iron integrated box way construction for superior stiffness and increased vibration dampening.
The milling machine has Stein meyer ETA+ dual mounted ball screws for increased rigidity and reduced friction which enables spindle speeds of 8,000 to 10,000 RPM to provide versatility. This is a high performance machining system which provides low cycle times while providing superior performance in cutting steel and other hard metals as well as all aluminum alloys including 7075-T7351.
Computer Aided MachiningACNCM utilizes FeatureCam 3-D computer aided machining (CAM) software which fully automates the machining and minimizes programming times.
FeatureCAM was the world’s first Windows-based and feature-based milling system. ACNCM can draw your part or it has feature recognition for imported CAD files and most CAD files can be translated into FeatureCAM.
FeatureCam has recently been awarded “Certified CAM Product” status by the SolidWorks Partner Program. This follows an extensive evaluation by SolidWorks Corporation, including user reviews to confirm that the combination of FeatureCAM and SolidWorks is already working successfully in a variety of industries.
ACNCM machined wheels and brake rotors for G. Gordon Liddy who had two custom bikes modeled after WWII fighter planes; the German Messerschmidt and Great Britain’s Spitfire.
Other Metal Fabrication Services
ACNCM also provides TIG welding, drilling, and lathe services.
About the Owner
The owner of American CNC Machining has over 22 years experience in machining blue printing and building H-D engines. John started his career in 1981 with the U.S. Army as a technician repairing the Sheridan tanks with the only Airborne armor in the free world. After John got out of the service is when he became a Harley drag race fan and attended HDRA race’s in the late 80’s. In late 1989 John attended AMI and specialized in Harley Davidson’s and dealership management. He has worked for company’s like Milwaukee Harley Davidson were he receive his factory training, then to a Chopper shop MDO Cycles. John started racing in 1993 with a Harman engine. And in 1998 applied for a assistant service manager position at Zippers Performance and was hired. After a year he went back on the line as a a flat rate tech. At Zippers John was able to learn from some of the best in the industry. A special thanks to Mack McNally ( God Speed ). At this point John had over whelming request for services that zippers did not offer so he opened American Pro Street Cycles, just after 911. In 2004 the race team APSC sponsored by building the engine, bike set up and tuning won the AHDRA Super Gas National Championship. that was the same year John purchased a CNC machining center and moved into that industry and started machining one off wheels, parts and performing work for government contractors. As a result he formed American CNC Machining and that business continues today. Thank you for checking out our web site.
